Has anybody had any success installing and running Solidworks 2022 or any other version on an Apple Silicon Mac using CrossOver?
The most qualified answer I can get is from the compatibility database where it seems like it can't even be installed. I would really love to avoid using a Windows VM just for this particular software to run on my M1 Pro MacBook. Furthermore, does anybody have experience with alternatively running Solidworks on a cloud VM that doesn't cost a fortune? If I don't want to install a VM on my Mac, my best option right now is to use remote desktop on my pretty old Thinkpad w510 but I think this defeats the purpose of owning a new MacBook.
