About running this simulator

Its not that this dosent run, because it does, I tried the demo of the G4 and its run.
But the full game check/need the USB controller its shipped thid, and its checking for it at statup.
I see my mac reconize the controller, but it seems like crossover dosent.
(the demo work because its not need the USB controller, its run on keybord)
If the USB is fixed, I guess it would run yust fine.

You may be able to attempt this:

http://www.codeweavers.com/support/wiki/USBtoSerial

to get the USB portion working.

I tried, but it dont work.
Maybe its because I used the wrong device from /dev, because its a wery long list here or maybe "com1" is not the right one to use in this game.

I have the same issue running G2 on a PC with the latest Red Hat and Fedora releases. Linux sees the controller as /dev/js0 and I have tried linking it to comX (1-4), usb00X (1-9) but no joy as of yet :(. This is true with both Crossover Linux and Wine-1.0. What is strange is if you open the RealFlight Control Panel and select the Technical Support button then the joystick button, G2 "sees" the controller stick movements and switch changes just fine.

Apparently, the application is looking for something other than a com or usb port assignment. I haven't been able to determine what the app needs to see even after perusing the Windows Hardware Device Manager under Human Interface Devices as nothing specific is listed. Maybe a little trial and error....😊.

There is a file (memory-modification) that makes Realflight forget about checking for the controller.
Realflight controller DOES work in linux, the strange "copy-protection" however, does not.
By using the emu.exe file, it should work.
(I am testing on a recent, updated, legal ver 4.5)
The problem is, emu.exe cannot find, and launch realflight.exe (even if they are in the same folder)
and that's probaply why it does not modify the realflight.exe or any of it's DLL's properly.

Anyone have an idea why ?
