Working for a Fortune 100 best company to work for, I have been exposed to a wonderful array of rich IT tools and systems. I have worked with quite a wide range of operating systems and tools including: - Linux - Red Hat, Fedora Core - Solaris - SPARC and Solaris-x86 - FreeBSD - Windows - 95,98, 2000 and XP - Cygwin - basic, KDE and Cygnome I have worked with wine for several years. Personally I have gotten MS Office 97 working quite well on Red Hat 8, Red Hat 9. I have also attempted to get a variety of other programs working with wine - including e-Sword, MapSource, Cisco VPN3000, and others. Wine is an excellent product but CodeWeavers I am sure is more stable. I have also worked with several emulators - vmware, wine, bochs and Sun's SunPCi. There are quite a number of open source programs I have worked with ranging from lots of linux applications like mozilla, gimp, cinerlla, openoffice, and octave to other open source applications like eclipse or Ptolemy. My goal is to start contributing to the Open Source movement. Right now I hope to find a few fun projects and begin giving back to open source after the many useful things it has already given to me.
