Keep 2 versions of CXG on one Mac?

Is it possible to run 2 versions of crossover games on one mac? I hastily upgraded to 7.2 for one particular game and while it fixed that one, it has inherently messed up a couple of my other games. So i had the bright idea of segregating the games based on what version of CXG that they worked best. Can this even be done? Do you forsee many problems trying this? Thanks in advance!

If you upgraded on top of an existing install, I'd first recommend removing CX Games (leaving your bottles in place) and then doing a completely clean install of 7.2. Sometimes upgrading on top of an existing install can lead to issues.

If the new 7.2 truly does break functionality with some unsupported apps, you can install 2 copies side-by-side by re-naming the first install of Crossover Games using the "get info" option on your mac. With Crossover Games renamed as simply as "Crossover Games72", you'll be able to install Crossover Games 7.1 (or earlier), and they will exists side-by-side in your applications folder. Both should access the same bottle structure, but you probably shouldn't attempt to run them both at the same time.

Thank you for the help and info...i followed your directions but if I run a 7.1.1 session after a 7.2 session (or vice versa), i get the dialog box about needing to update my crossover files and 'this may take a minute'. Should i keep hitting the update button each time I switch? What is the update doing?
