I have just updated to the latest Crossover Games 7.2. I am not sure if this is the cause of the problem but after the install when I run TF2..it crashes within 1 minute of playing. Before it crashes, the audio loops and the screen disappears and brings me back to my desktop. I've tried playing on different servers and I get the same thing, so I know it wasn't a server crash or the server didn't boot me or anything like that.
I've had no problems running this before. I am on a white macbook. I want to reinstall TF2 but I am afraid to do so for fear of making it worse. Any help is greatly appreciated.
Have the same problem with CSS.
I reinstalled Steam, but same problem. I also removed CrossOverGames from my MacBook and reinstalled. Still same problem.
I think it's the new Crossover Games 7.2 that makes TF2 crash. I reverted back to the Crossover Games 7.1 and everything works fine now. I'm not sure about others or any other games but if you're playing TF2, take note, do not upgrade to 7.2. Do it at your own risk, you never know, maybe it's just me. If any others experience the same thing then maybe the newest update is not stable for TF2 players.
Yeah, I put a ticket up for this problem, I think it might have something to do with the new achievements, but I don't know. I don't have this problem if I'm playing arena though, or at least I haven't had it happen.
I've also put up a ticket for this. I rarely play Arena..I prefer the Payload and CP maps..been crashing there. That's interesting that you're not crashing in Arena..I would have thought that the map is irrelevant. But anyways..hope this thread helps others out.
Which systems and graphics cards do all of you have? We have of course extensively tested all the games with the new release, but maybe we missed some specific setups. (Or sales guy is in fact playing the game during work for hours, with official blessing as "testing")
