can you run more than one version of cross over games

Hello,
I am running the newest version of Cross Over Pro that included Cross Over games as well. I think both have the same version number 10.01. I tried installing Gothic 2 but it crashes before the game actually launches, the initial intro videos play. According to the compatibility search it is rated by the community as a Gold application. When reading the page about the application and its hint section it appears that the newest version that the game worked on was version 9.1.0. There were tutorials for getting the GOG version of the game working but the version of Cross Over Games that was used was the 9.1.0. I am wondering if there was a regression of some sort in the newest version of wine that causes this game to no longer work.

Is it possible to have more than one version of Cross Over Games installed on the same system? If so would it just be a matter of downloading the version you want and running the install script?

I do not know if this is needed but I am running Suse 11.4 on a Dell Precision M6300 laptop with the following specs.
Core 2 Duo X7900 2.8gz processor
4 GB of DDR2 ram
Nvidia Quadro FX 3600m GPU running Nvidia driver v.270.41.19
Sony Blue Ray combo drive

Thanks for your help
Robert

Yes. You can install several different versions in parallel, but it important to follow the correct way to install.
Please take a look at

CX multiple copies

It works for both, cxoffice and cxgames due to the same "core".

Additionally, take a look at
Post1 and
Post2

Maybe these infos can help you also.

Bye
