CrossOver Support - Community Forums

I thought I removed 7.2 after I upgraded to SL in anticipation of 8.0, but when I installed 8.0 this evening it knew where my old files were...I'd like to do a clean uninstall and reinstall. This is Crossover Games for Mac. Any suggestions??

This article in our support library tells how to remove CrossOver (Pro or Standard). The instructions are the same for CrossOver Games, except you use "CrossOver Games" everywhere that "CrossOver" appears.

HELP! I'm sure I am not in the right forum, but I'm totally lost! I downloaded crossover twice. Now without ever using it, i have two blue and gold crossover icons in dock, two square looking crossover icons on desktop and when i try to uninstall it wont let me, saying it is in use. I am frustrated and want it off my computer so i can further research it to see if it is what i really want.

ANY HELP?

Hi,

If you're seeing the crossover icon on your dock, that means it's running.
You will have to first quit crossover, and then uninstall it.

I am running snow leopard. Crossover wont install a new application, it gets stuck in the "Creating bottle" process and wont even let me cancel the installation. Have to force quit. After uninstalling and installing crossover several times, I followed the uninstall instructions and then installed it again, still have the same problem.
Please help!
