Cannot upgrade to 9.2

Edit: I was able to upgrade by running the sed commands from the thread linked below on the temporary files created by the installer.

Hi. I'm running Arch with everything up to date. Already tried the suggestion in this thread (I don't think that would effect the installer, anyway):

About a week ago TF2 stopped working (it produces a steam .dmp file when launching, but no cx errors in the console). I came here looking for assistance and saw that 9.2 had been released, so I thought maybe I should upgrade to that. When I run the update, I click, "OK," on the license and then, "Begin Install," at which point it immediately crashes with:
