CrossOver Support - Community Forums

Hi,

Has anyone gotten this to work with CrossOver? It is an old game but I like it and dosn't work with my Vista laptop, so I decided to install it to my iMac. I manage to install it, but when launching, it crashes and complains problems with wine or game. And when I try to use games IP.exe to check system compability, it says that my CPU doesn't meet minimun requirements since it doesn't exist? I am using trial version of CrossOver 9.0, I don't want to buy CrossOver before I can be sure it works, I guess I need then this Game-version?

Update: I purchased CrossOver Games version, but still Shogun is not starting at all. I checked from winehq for instructions, there were some suggestions about cd protection, I ["worked around the DRM issues" - sorry, had to edit - Admin], but no luck with that either.

I am afraid there must be something wrong with your game as you say it does not work in Vista. And I know that game works on Vista.

If it is not working on Windows it will never work in crossover

Now I remembered this thread. :) Interesting, since the game works correctly in XP. Same cds I mean. Let's see, I downloaded new version of CrossOver Games and I'll try again.

I got the game working in Vista, required re-install of Vista. :) Still not working with CrossOver.
