Okay so i noticed something. whenever i want to talk to soeone in games, i hit shift tab and nothing works. why is that? one other thing to. when i open up crossover games and steam and if i exit the steam pop up window where the my games and store tabs are, i cant bring that window up again. why is that? thanks.

the friends list will not work, theres no way to get it to work either

The ingame thing just doesn't work. As for getting the steam window up again. Don't close it. Just minimize it and when you need it later maximzie it.
Probably the only way to solve this problem (currently), is to simply play in windowed mode and keep your chat over the side, and you can easily click back and forth in-and-out. Sure, it's not as convenient as hotkeying but it's still fairly easy.
