TF2 won't start

I downloaded CrossOver games for Linux (Ubuntu 9.10) after installing TF2 off of the Orange Box DVDs and letting it update, it won't start. I launch steam and double-click the TF2 icon, steam just closes without any error or anything and nothing else happens.

Any ideas? (64 bit BTW)

Hi,

Have you looked at the TF2 compatibility database page, especially
the forum/tips&tricks pages there?

Cheers!
