Playing Devil's Tuning Fork on CXGames

So one of my friends is working on this game project for a contest he is entering but I have been unable to get it to run under any form of Wine software - it uses OpenGL 2.0 and DirectX 9c. The project is called "Devil's Tuning Fork" and it is a free download that can be found here - http://devilstuningfork.com/

Under Wine/CXGames it crashes out with a general error message saying it cannot run no matter what I try, if anyone has some spare time and wants to take a crack at getting it running I would much appreciate it :)

Thanks,
~Jeff

I'll let my penguin have at it using various vintages of wine...

I have actually downloaded it once already, but (linux) unzip is
crying foul. Not sure if it was just a corrupt download, or if
there is some other voodoo at play -- downloading again....

@Jeff -- AFAYK, is it just a stock standard zipfile?

Cheers!

edit: corrupt download apparently

i saw a youtube of this game just two days ago. looks awesome. it'd be cool to be able to play this in CXG.

Unfortunately, I couldn't get it to run - tried a few different flavors of
Wine and current CXG, all to no avail. Does require directx runtime and
visual C++ 2008 installed before it'll even start, but it then reliably
crashes wine everytime.

Cheers!

Yea thats as far as I could get it to go as well :( I see the couple intro screens and then it promptly dumps out on me >.<

~Jeff

Actually...here, it hauls the exception first, and calls winedbg - only after
acknowledging the wine error, does the game seemingly continue for the intro
screen, credit screen and epileptic warning...-then- it dies...
