I know Crossover for Games will launch the WinUae control panel and even startup...but then nothing. I get a black screen. No rom request or anything. Just active cpu cycling and a black window.
Anyone have any clues on this? I have been a beta tester for WinUAE since 1999. I've talked with Toni, the current maintainer of WinUAE, but he's silent on the OSX side of things. He has too much else going on I am guessing.
It seems, oddly, Amiga emulation on the OSX side has died while it flourished on the PC side. :(
..and it runs demos, AB3D-II, and many many other amiga games. Both myself (on
linux) and Paul (on Mac) have had little trouble getting this to run. From
what you describe, it sounds like your ROM setup is funky somehow...but, see..
Thanks for the thread. The OpenGL did get it working. I am noticing a subtle sound issue but nothing tragic. I am having issue getting Winuae to acknowledge the mouse setting for input.
The other major issue is pressing F12 to bring up WinUAEs settings causes the panel to cycle in a loop whenever you try to leave it. You click "OKAY" or "CANCEL" and the panel vanishes and then comes right back. Forcing you to ultimately quit. You experienced this?
Not myself....but I think Paul had something similar happen iirc
