Hi, I am curious as to when the new version may be released. I purchased crossover and was so happy with it I decided to start playing COH again (a pay to play MMO) I re-upped my account and downloaded the client only to find out that this application will not work due to an XML issue that prevents me from clicking next to accept the EULA. I have been told that this is being worked on but would like to know if I should cancel my account (I have monthly billing) before next month. Or if a beta or fix will be out shortly of the newest cxgames.
Also, if anybody knows how to get this game working I would love the help. I've looked but it appears hopeless at this point.
We branched for cxgames 8 a while ago, and a fix for that COH EULA crash just went in today(turned out to be harder to fix than we thought). Last week we planned to ship a beta this week(read: tomorrow, we try to avoid Fridays). Currently we're doing heavy internal testing, and we ran into a few more bugs which we're trying to fix.
Essentially the plan is to fix the bad known bugs before shipping a beta, its kinda pointless to give a build that's full of known issues to testers...

It's all sounding great, thanks for all the hard work. =) While I'm competent at compiling and running Wine on OS X, Crossover Games gives me the level of integration I'm looking for so I'm very excited for this. Do you have a projected timeframe for CXGames 8.0 final?
No timeline for the final yet - depends on how many bugs are found during beta testing.
I expect a number of them since we enabled Shader Mode 2 and 3 support by default. That will put many games into better rendering modes that push the 3D system harder, and uncover both bugs in our code and in the drivers.
So, how can I implement the fix for COH into my build of cxgames? I'm paying for the game and cannot play it. Which I understand is not your fault, I just don't want to re-up for another month if I'm not going to be able to play.
Not to toot my own horn but I'm pretty computer and linux savvy. How
would I go about participating in beta testing?
All advocates have access to the beta. We're considering making the beta public to everyone after the first set of bugs has been fixed, but otoh we are getting a lot of reports already, probably more than we can digest, and the results look reasonably well, so we hope for a short beta.
Thanks Stefan, that gave me the information I needed.
