in a future release of crossover games i would really like to see an ability to install internet explorer and windows media player into one of your bottles with your games. i have made 2 examples below where i would like to use these to applications in crossover games.
steam media playing
in the steam store you can download game trailers , tv spots. etc. you can download them but to watch them you need windows media player.
which steam gives an error message about when you try to watch the installed: movie , tv spot. etc
steam store picture viewing
in the steam store you can view pictures of all of the games. to watch these pictures you need to have a web browser open. otherwise you just click and nothing happens. a good example of that you need to install internet explorer to make such thing work properly.
i really hope there comes the ability to install the applications in the near future.
I'm sure many do. Your original post didn't seem to be looking for a response, poll question, etc. It was a stated wish. I'd like to see this too. I don't think anyone responded as such, as there was no indication a response was necessary :).
that sounds great. anyone who knows if codeweavers have plans for this?
