I use Crossover games for Counter Strike Source and Teamspeak, they work fine and I am impressed with the product...
On clan games now there is a requirement for X-ray Anti-Cheat to be loaded, this is a client side antic cheat application. On reading the installation instructions it looks like it wants to update the DirectX version of your system to 9.0 in order for it to work, my question is will this application work or not?
DX9 can still be buggy on Mac OS, usually DirectX reverts to 8 when used on Mac. But since we can download and install DirectX from Microsoft's server I can't see why this app won't be able to run the DirectX installer for its own flavor. Probably best to make an archive of the bottle you have Steam in, and then try doing an unsupported install of X-Ray and see what happens.
