I just installed the Spy vs. Sniper update in TF2 but now I can't get through one game. The crash doesn't happen when I do something specific, I'll just be playing along and it locks up and closes. The last crash locked up my whole computer. Any ideas?
My best advice is to turn down the graphics settings (resolution, texture detail, etc.). We know of, and are working to alleviate, problems with running out of memory with games like TF2.
If your whole computer is locking up, that suggests there's a bug in the OS or the drivers. The OS should not allow a user-level application like CrossOver to lock up the computer. One thing which has helped avoid this problem for some is to turn off the translucent menu bar effect. You might also install a third-party fan control utility to both monitor the GPU temperature and possibly turn up your fans to keep it cooler than it might otherwise get.
Please Note: This Forum is for non-application specific questions relating to installation/configuration of CrossOver. All application-specific posts to this Forum will be moved to their appropriate Compatibility Center Forum.
