I’m encountering an issue trying to log into my Microsoft 365 subscription using CrossOver on Linux Mint 22.
Issue Description:
I installed Office 365 successfully, but when I try to sign into my account, I'm unable to complete the login process. Here are the specific steps I’m taking:
1. I open Word, go to the File menu. 2. I select Account from the left side at the bottom, then click on Activate Product. 3. In the pop-up, I choose Sign In. 4. I enter my email and press Next, but after a short wait, a blank window appears. I am unable to proceed further or interact with this window, other than closing it.
Any advice on how to resolve this login issue would be appreciated. Thank you!
I noticed this affects the Microsoft 365 personal and family. I had this issue however I tried my work credentials which uses Office 365 business I was able to login to activate.
The installation/applications are slightly different between Microsoft 365 Personal and Business. It would seem that crossover is configured only for Microsoft 365 business and not personal.
I had some progress by installing Codeweavers Explorer, as the office apps wouldn't even open. So maybe .Net 2.0 is a dependency to Office as it is to CrossOver Explorer...
I believe some dependencies are still missing to make it work properly.
Like the others, this is actually stopping me from buying CrossOver for Linux. I need to use Word/Excel with my macros and there is no other option on linux... So no use there. I mean, I can't even test to see if my macros would work on Crossover Office because it won't activate.
Still no movement on this?
I'm still running Ofice 2010 becsue I can't get 365 to authenticate ... and now 2010 is no longer suppported, any changes and it will stop working now too with no way to authenticate.
Can we get a fix please?

Are you using office 365 home or business version?
I could not get the home version to work. I was able to authenicate with the business version from my job and it worked.
