I am using a 4GB Asus Laptop, because of its small capacity, I'll had to use an external hard-drive in-order to store most of my applications. However, I'd read that Wine can't emulate permission for an NTFS Partition mounted with NTFS-3G. This can only be fixed by using a 2.6.26 Kernel or higher.
Because I'm using Xandros, and I can hardly change into a new modern distribution, I'd to temporarily continue with my current state. However, a 2.6.26 Kernel doesn't seems to work with my system. Are there any-way to change the permission of the NTFS partition so that I can run my programs with it?
Thanks for any assistance!
