I just installed crossover linux on my laptop (ubuntu). The installation dialog says that 'ia32-crossover-standard_10.0.0-1.amd64.deb' was installed. However, I can't find any desktop shortcuts to launch. However is this supposed to work?
I selected the 'CrossOver Linux Standard 10.0.0 (64bit Debian and Ubuntu)' from the My Downloads windows. It seemed to match my setup exactly. Should I have used the 'CrossOver Linux Standard 10.0.0 (Generic Installer)'?
There are a few different ways to launch Crossover when this happens (apologies for any miskeys, this is coming from my phone).
The first, see if you got a menu item. You said Ubuntu, so it should be in Applications-> Crossover-> Install Software
If you did not receive menu items at all, please file a support ticket for further assistance. And, if you didn't receive menu items, you can launch the software installer from terminal:
