Arch Linux installation and python2

Hi, I just installed on Arch Linux, where "python" now points to "python3", while python 2 needs to be called like

#! /usr/bin/env python2

I ran the generic binary, and it seemed copy the files alright, but right before the last "ok" button showed up I noticed a python traceback flicker across the screen. So I clicked OK and added a 2 to the first lines of the python files in /opt/cxoffice/bin, but is there some script I have to re-run to make my installation complete? E.g. I notice there are no crossover links in my KDE menu, although the /opt/cxoffice/cxsetup program seems to start up fine now.

You need to point the Arch Linux python link to python2 before installing. After installing you can point it back to Python3.

Point to Pyhton2:
# mv /usr/bin/python /usr/bin/python.backup
# ln -s /usr/bin/python2 /usr/bin/python

Point back to Python3:
# mv /usr/bin/python.backup /usr/bin/python
