I'm in Ubuntu 10.10 and I've been able to install windows programs like Fireworks off a disk just fine, but Safari and IE6 are failing initialize properly and crash every time. I have a debug log for the Safari install if that will help. I'd be happy to pay for Crossover to get these browsers for development. It's the only reason I tried it out and so far it's a big disappointment.

as for Safari - it probably won't work under CX, just yet, anyway.

& as for ie6:-
http://www.codeweavers.com/compatibility/browse/name/?app_id=15
is the place to 'install via crosstie'.

that will create a dedicated bottle, just for ie6,
but you can install other stuff into it, afterwards.
