Crossover menus with generic installer

I run Arch Linux and I downloaded the generic Crossover installer. I installed Crossover in my home account.

How does Crossover generate menus? Are they all in Debian 'menu' format? I see I have a cxmenu-* entry in my ~/.menu directory. But where are the launchers for installed applications?

I run Arch too, but the distro has nothing to do with it.

You will also find files in .config/menus/applications-merged and .local/share/applications in your home directory. Pretty much the same way wine does it too.

Don't forget that you can manage menu entries with the "manage bottle" tool in the Crossover menu. You do not need to manipulate these menu entries manually.

XML. Yay. >.<

'xdg_menu' doesn't merge in the stuff from my .local and .config directories, for whatever reason. I'll move this to another forum.

But if I figure it out, I'll let everyone know! 😀

...make sure you have python_xdg installed ; don't expect this area
to work if your WM of choice is XFCE < v4.8...
