Sorry to say that was specific to a much earlier rev of iTunes. We got iTunes 4.0 to work and officially supported it, but the changes between different revs of iTunes were so drastic, and the revs occurred so frequently, that we had to drop support for it (or dedicate an appreciable percentage of our small staff to iTunes, full-time, which would be horribly impractical).

As you'll see, a few times since 4.0 versions of iTunes have, totally by chance, been largely compatible with Crossover, again, but this never lasts. The changes in their codebase are just too extensive for the current implementation of Crossover/Wine to reliably support new revs.
