Installing Office 2000 service releases

I am evaluating CrossOver under Ubuntu 10.04. My Office 2000 installed beautifully (CrossOver even managed to simulate a Windows restart) and MS Word runs well. I ran into a problem installing the first Office service release (o2ksr1a.exe, downloaded from MS), however: After checking it for viruses, CrossOver runs the installer, which reports that it "did not locate the expected version of Office 2000". What am I doing wrong? Any workaround?

Thanks and best regards,

SR1a is known to fail:

Try SR3, which you can access in the "Runtime Support Components" section of Crossover's Intsall Software menu. Just select "Microsoft Office 2000 Service Release 3" from the list, make sure your Office 2000 bottle has been chosen, and proceed. The download should be automatic.
