I recently upgraded to CXOffice 7.1.0 when they gave it away recently. I had purchased versions 4 and 5. Seeing as how it now supported Office 2003, I went ahead and blew away my Office XP install and put in Office 2003.
Noticing my menus were messed up - plus I was using a new Win2K botte - I went into the KDE menu editor and copied my Program files to another location.
Now it is gone.
I wanted to rebuild the menu, so I tried through the configuration. However, I insatlled CXOffice as root, so the "rebuild menu" feature is no longer present. I launched the config as root and tried to rebuild the menu. No dice.
I did the second suggestion (I'm running KDE) where I changed "Windows Applicaitons" to "WinXP" and that seemed to do it.
I've purchased CXOffice 4 and 5, and was able to Download 7 a few weeks back when it was being given away.
