I cannot install Office 2007 on vista or xp bottle.
Using latest version of crossover (7.0)

I tried couple of times to start from step 1, but didn't help.

make sure you wait long enough. it's known that it takes plenty of time (maybe 1h) to complete.
It took my 2007 install about 15 minutes to complete today... How long have you waited?
