Quicken 2009 German Version

Hi,

I know only the US Version ist supported 😉

The installation in a (default) W2000 bottle finished exept the last crossover window didn't close.
All files are in the bottle but in > CrossOver > Configuration > Quicken is listed as installed software but not shown in menues. While others like e.g. Quickinventory is available.

Trying to start the QW.exe direct out of cxoffice directory doesn't work either.

Any idea/help out there?

Bernd

Unfortunately, we've had very spotty success with non-US versions of Quicken. The installers are actually quite different for each country's version, and some have quite a bit of trouble in Crossover :(

Have you tried using Crossover' Run Command menu to select the appropriate bottle and QW.exe file? Any affect there? Also, can you check the bottle's installed apps to see if msls31, IE6, and Visual C++ were successfully installed?

Using Run Command has no affect.

Yes msls31, IE6 and Visual C++ are installed.

Strange that I can start one or two apps which come with Quicken.

If I could just butt in on this.

I tried to install Quicken UK XG version. It would not install under the supported Quicken bottles. So on a whim I tried it on unsupported and it installed without a problem. Have'nt yet used enough to see how stable it is. Might be worth a try for you.

tried unsupported also..... no success 😥

Rats. I'd say the odds of the German Quicken working are pretty slim, then :(.

When installing it into an unsupported bottle, be sure that the bottle is a brand new win2000 bottle. You may also want to install msls31 and the other pre-reqs into the bottle prior to your unsupported installation of Quicken, if you haven't already tried that...

You are right, and

....yap, that's exact what I tried last.....

thanks for your support.
