As of now, when i use Office 2007, if i search for templates it will fail to connect to Office Online. Is this a normal behaviour?

As of now, when i use Office 2007, if i search for templates it will fail to connect to Office Online. Is this a normal behaviour?
Yes, that is normal behavior - the integration with Office Online doesn't work . Office Online wants to verify that you're actually using windows, and since you're not (with Crossover), it fails.
If you need templates, you can download them from the Microsoft website. They're usually in CAB file format, so on Linux you can use cabextract to extract the template itself after downloading it.
