need help with Outlook

I want to use CrossOver with eeeBuntu to run Outlook to connect to an Exchange server. I've got the trial version which I'll install shortly, but where do I get the actual Outlook - is it a free Microsoft thing I can download or do I pull it out of a Windows installation disk or what? Are there install instructions for it (how do I get it onto my Linux system)? thanks in advance!!

Well, there are free trials of MS Office available. Installing them may be a bit tricky, but we've heard a lot of successful reports. There is no free Outlook that you'll be able to use, permanently.

If you own MS Office for windows, you can just install the Office suite on your eeeBuntu machine through Crossover - mount the installer disc (you'll need to make an .ISO of the disc and put that .ISO on your eeeBuntu, since it doesn't have a CD drive) on your machine, and then in Crossover's Install Windows Software menu select the appropriate office version, create a new bottle as prompted, select the installer source and proceed.

Please Note: This Forum is for non-application specific questions relating to installation/configuration of CrossOver. All application-specific posts to this Forum will be moved to their appropriate Compatibility Center Forum.
