Will I break Crossover by upgrading 8.04 to 8.10?
You should be fine, the only time we see any big issues with Crossover is the 7 to 8, or 8 to 9 jumps.
Oh -- I was actually going to go from 8.04 to 8.10 to 9x. How severe are the problems going from 8 to 9?

I think Andrew got a bit confused, you're referring to Ubuntu version numbers, correct?
The Ubuntu version numbers are simply the date it was released, and bear little relation to normal versions.
I can confirm that Crossover works fine in 9.04 (Jaunty) but I've not tried in 9.10 (Karmic) as it's not actually finished yet.
In case you're wondering, the numbers are x.yy, where x is the year and y is the month.
8.04 was released in the 4th month of 2008, and 8.10 in the 10th month of 2008, for instance.
