I installed the trail version on standard and was very pleased with it. Especially as Dreamweaver 8 installed without a hitch.
Made my first mistake by uninstalling rather than simply upgrading.
However Professional installed fine, office 2000 installed no problem.
Try and install Dreamweaver 8 again, no joy. Try to install and get error 1627.
Has anybody got any thoughts?

As far as I'm aware installing Dreamweaver 8 doesn't work, you have to copy over an install of Dreamweaver from a another source into a Crossover bottle to run it. If you didn't completely remove Crossover bottles (~/.cxoffice) then your Dreamweaver 8 bottle may still be there.
Have a dual boot setup, so i can simply copy the program directory from windows into the crossover bottle and it will run?
I think that will work.
