I have a dual-drive, dual-boot machine with XP Home SP3 on one drive, and Ubuntu 8.04 LTS on the other. Both OSes can run Password Safe, an open-source portable password manager. I also run Password Safe on a second, networked PC running XP. The Shared Files folder on the XP partition of this PC has the Password Safe file which both XP machines use. That way, both machines know the current set of passwords & logins for my accounts.
I'd like to run Password Safe under CrossOver, and have it access the actual Windows folder, not a simulated folder within Linux. I know that the Windows folder is read/writable by Linux, and by other Windows programs running under Wine, by assigning a Wine drive letter to the folder.
How do I get the same effect in CrossOver?
I suspect there should be a simple answer, but any help would be greatly appreciated.
Z:\ points to the Unix root. You can point password manager to Z:\media\windows\ or whereever the windows partition is mounted.
If the app doesn't allow you to select a path, you could try to play around with symlinks
