Adobe Premier and codec

I have Adobe Premier installed in a win98 bottle. When I import an AVI and then try to play it I can hear the sound but I don't see anything in the preview window. I've installed the windows essentials codecs and there is no change. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I'm running xandros 4.0.
