Nvidias __gl_threaded_optimizations and wine apps

Hi

There are people who swear on this command and others are saying it's just "snake oil". I got a little performance boost in some native games. Now I wonder if I can use the the command with CrossOver apps. In the end Wine translates everything to OpenGL, or I'm wrong? I tried to set an application profile in my Nvidia settings for a game running with CrossOver 15. I couldn't say that it had a effect at all (neither better or worse). So may question is: Is it working at all and makes it sense or did I just something wrong?

I hope someone with more experience can clarify that for me. I'm just curious :)

Thanks

CrossOver, by default, uses CSMT (aka "performance enhanced graphics") which does the same thing as Nvidia's threaded optimizations but is GPU/driver agnostic. Using both is detrimental to performance.

Oh I didn't know that CrossOver had CSMT. Thank you :)
