Crossover Office 13.0.1 and Quicken 2001
Usually when I install a new Linux distribution I simply preserve the existing /home and install Crossover Office using Gdebi. Then, if I recall, simply double-clicking on QW.EXE or a desktop .lnk (/.cxoffice/win98/drive_c/QUICKENW/QW.EXE or perhaps /.cxoffice/win98/desktopdata/cxmenu/Desktop/Quicken+2001+Deluxe.lnk) cause my Quicken 2001 Deluxe to run.
But I installed this Kubuntu 14.04 from scratch, with no previous /home partition. I copied the .cxoffice folder from a different computer that also runs Kubuntu 14.04, installed Crossover Office 13.0.1... and cannot get Quicken to run! I am asked to go through the "install Windows software" process. I've done this several times (I have to use "unsupported" and by now have several "QW" bottles created), but still cannot get my old Quicken to run.
Any suggestions? When I installed a new Linux over an old one, and preserved /home (including /.cxoffice), simply installing Crossover Office using GDebi was all that was needed.
