Installing programs on an external harddrive.

Curious to know if this is possible. I'm assuming by picking some obscure location when installing won't go well, as each program is self contained in .cxoffice.

However, are there any tricks with linking files that can be done to have files on an external HDD? I ask this because I only have a 128GB SSD, while my 2TB external harddrive is permanently attached for most other data. In Windows this wasn't a problem, but since the switch to linux, I've had some issues with it.

So, possible? Not possible? Solutions, tricks, ideas?

The trick is to create a bottle, move it to the external drive and then create a symlink in $HOME/.cxoffice (I usually use the same name) pointing to where you moved the folder (bottle).

Ah, glad to know it works.

Thank you ! ^_^
