FAQ Installing Crossover 14.0 On Opensuse 13.2 64bit

I was looking at the FAQ's on Opensuse here https://www.codeweavers.com/support/wiki/linux/faq/OpenSUSE
I have seen no issues with crossover creating menu items but it happens after a (reboot) as it has in crossover 13.x and 12.x. Both for the RPM and .bin installer.
As for
Apper does not know what to do with CrossOver
Apper is not able to install CrossOver by default and displays the error:
(Your current backend does not support installing files)

This is a Bug (http://bugzilla.opensuse.org/show_bug.cgi?id=902577) 13.2 the work around is to click on the RPM file a second time this is true for installing any RPM file with Apper.
The only simlinks needed are
libOSMesa.so.6 - ln -s /usr/lib/libOSMesa.so.8.0.0 /usr/lib/libOSMesa.so.6
libTiff.so.4 - ln -s /usr/lib/libtiff.so.5.2.0 /usr/lib/libtiff.so.4

Hop this is helpfull

+1 I just installed the new version of openSUSE 13.2 on my laptop and I can confirm what you wrote. Installation via the .RPM works on the second attempt and Crossover also creates its menus etc. normally after a reboot. Don't know about the symlinks though, will have to try later.

Thx for posting this!

Cheers,
Alex
