IE7 and Picasa not connecting to internet

Running Mint Mate 14, Crossover 11.1. When I try to connect Picasa or IE7 to internet I get small HTML files to download, ie: File name= "ServiceLogin.html" which if clicked on opens in Firefox to Picasa login pg, IE7 wont open, it starts to but shuts down if I cancel or accept html file. Any help greatly appreciated.

Are you behind a proxy? IE7 in CrossOver doesn't work with https connections behing a proxy and behave as you said.
