.NET Framework 4 and missing mscoree.dll

I'm newbie in crossover/wine world. I'm working at a software house where we need to redistribute an existing windows software at ubuntu linux. As I can see, the crossover/wine solution can be a fast solution for do this. So, at present, I'm performing some tests using the crossover. Unfortunately, my first test did not work: try to run a "hello world" application. The setup works ok, but the application does not run. The log indicates that mscoree.dll is not found. Any ideas?

All our applications runs over .NET Framework 4, using Microsoft WPF mechanism. Is this a problem for crossover? Do you have similar cases (.NET 4 + WPF) running with crossover?

Thanks!

Pilato Jr

Currently there is a bug with the .NET 4 installation process not upgrading the
mscoree.dll file after removing it. As a workaround until this is fixed, run the .NET 4
installer again and select "Repair .NET 4 Framework to its original state." The repair
process will fail after installing the missing mscoree.dll file.

Alternatively, you can copy mscoree.dll into the windows\system32 folder. Just make sure
it is the same version.

Thanks, sevae, the mscoree.dll error was fixed with .NET 4 repair as your suggestion.

But now the error changed and points to something related to System.Windows.Media.MediaSystem:

I found a related bug (http://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=29676) but its status is CLOSED FIXED...

Can you help me?

Thanks!

Try running the app under the latest development version of Wine.
