I'm trying to move Pepakura Designer to linux (Ubuntu 12.04) but I keep getting this weird error
"DIB Init failed
Rending Context Create Failed"
I'm using crossover 12.2 (I think) and I've installed directx 9, flash player 10, .net framework 4.0, visual basic 6 runtime, and visual c++ 6.0.
I think this is some sort of graphics error but I'm not sure what it is. Can anyone help me understand what this error means?
My machine is a little bit older but has 2 gigs of ram, ATI RV630 [Radeon HD 2600XT], 320 gig hard drive with 75% free, AMD Athlon(tm) 64 X2 Dual Core Processor 3800+, Kernel version: 3.2.0-49-generic-pae (#75-Ubuntu SMP Tue Jun 18 18:00:21 UTC 2013).
I'm not sure how much of my machine spec are helpful but there it is.
Out of sheer morbid curiousity, I just tried to run this last night, without any luck.
From my googling, I gathered that this pepakura software isn't anywhere close to running on Wine/Crossover. A seach with Pepakura and wine, and you'll get a long list of pages stating that the two don't mix. In any case, I'm entirely stumped.
