He meant the Crossover installer. I have run into this a few times. My bottle was remade back in November 2014 when I reactivated my account. Not sure if I ran into this with my bnet bottle but the cause is simple, as is the fix.
When you use Crossover to install software it will wait for whatever you are getting installed to exit. So with battlenet, you need to quit out of battlenet completely and the Crossover installer should be happy. If worse comes to worse, what I likely did knowing this at that time, was get bnet installed, not run it, and let Crossover gracefully exit then reload and start installing stuff.

CrossOver Forums: the place to discuss running Windows applications on Mac and Linux
We're rebels. We're misfits. But mostly, we're software liberators. And we're very, very good at what we do. We have to be. Lots of developers work with open source, but only a tiny fraction of those are good enough to get software that was designed for one platform to work on another one. We invented CrossOver software - a unique approach to cross-platform compatibility that does not require dual-boot or another OS license. We launched PortJump to help app and game developers broaden their market beyond Windows® users. And we launched ExecMode to help organizations solve really ugly technical challenges.
