Force application to use browser within bottle

I'm trying to get a particularly obnoxious gane working under Wine (Roblox), which uses a web browser as it's management and game-selection interface, and selecting a game from the browser loads their "player" application. I can get a copy of the application to install within a bottle, but it still loads the host OS default browser, which has NO clue what to do with the Roblox link.

I have tried various bottles (XP, Vista, Win7) with IE and CrossoverExplorer installed along side Roblox (actually installing them before Roblox in the same bottle). I tried adding the "WineBrowser" entry in the 'registry' for that bottle, it still loads the host OS browser.

All the results I can fing when searching for setting the default browser for a bottle tell me how to make it open in the host OS browser. I need the opposite. I need to force a bottle to open the bottle-specific MSWindows browser. It would seem to be something required in many scenarios, and if Wine/Crossover is capable of redirecting to the host, it should also be able to not redirect.

Any update ?

have either of you managed to solve this? i'm having the same issue when i try to authorize my mimind application with google drive. it launches well on the host os but then is unable to return with data to the calling wine app. if it were not to launch the host browser but any wine installed one i reckon it would go through fine

Nope. Just tried this again with Crossover 19.0. Still no way to force an application to use only the browser within the bottle.

Probably need to forward a polite request on to customer support/service, as I don't know if they've even seen this thread.

Please Note: This Forum is for non-application specific questions relating to installation/configuration of CrossOver. All application-specific posts to this Forum will be moved to their appropriate Compatibility Center Forum.
