Architecture change from i386 to amd64 ??

I can't find it it the changelog - https://www.codeweavers.com/crossover/changelog I may have missed it in an announcement. I've noticed, at least crossover20.xx.x.deb packages are now Architecture:amd64

Going forward, unless there is no other reason, I presume it's safe to remove i386 architecture from my system and all the packages which have were installed with earlier versions.

I haven't concluded which version specifically transitioned from i386 > amd64... why isn't this significant enough for the changelog? what's up with that?

Hi there,

The i386 architecture will still be needed for running Windows applications with Wine.

Best,
Meredith

The .deb file explicitly shows a different arch for version 20 forward. Using libc6-i386 This is the 32bit version of the library, meant for AMD64 systems. Presumably providing Windows app what's necessary?

The control file, as well as the entire description no longer notes adding i386 architecture. Can you or anyone further comment?
