SongSurgeon5.msi "There is no Windows program configured to open this kind of file."

I am also unable to install it in regular Wine and Bottles.
Could the problem be if they changed to a 64-bit application exclusively?
I vaguely remember a mention of switching to 64-bit in one of their newsletters. They currently still support a Mac build, so doesn't that mean they were forced to drop 32-bit?
I mailed the devs about this to ask just in case.

The darndest thing is I have installed this very software in CrossOver before and it worked fine, but that was about 2 years ago and I didn't keep the original install file.
