When I launch battlegrounds, I can see and hear the intro videos, but once it gets to the main menu, it is all black. I can hear the music and the mouse-over sounds of the menu items. I can even click on them blindly to start a game, but even in the game the screen is just black. I have a MacBook Pro, running 10.14.2 Mojave, using Crossover version 19.0.2. I downloaded the game from GOG and tried to follow Paul the Tall's instructions (https://www.paulthetall.com/star-wars-galactic-mac/).
