Mac Migration to ARM Processor

I am curious about how CrossOver will navigate with Macs going to ARM processors. Windows also have an ARM processor Windows option so maybe there is a good path forward.

Don't know about Apple Silicon, but my just arrived 2020 iMac with the T2 security chip will not load Quicken "because the developer cannot be verified". Spent ALL day yesterday with Apple Support, no luck. I suggest real caution going forward.

Quicken is not what it use to be since it separated from Intuit. I for many years was an active advocate for Quicken via CodeWeavers.

I know there are more security features with each new MacOS version. Permissions need to be added per app. Giving permission to CodeWeavers sounds like it is not enough. This may be a worthwhile area of CodeWeaver development to work on.

There is a workaround. Open Terminal, and enter the following command: sudo spctl —master-disable. Then open Quicken. I suggest re-enabling developer verification after this with the following command: sudo spctl —master-enable.

You might need to re-run this command if you restart the OS.
