hi all,

i am a new user to MAC and crossover as well,
I tried to install a windows based software (installation procedure is in two steps -1) install the software 2) activate the license online )

while using the crossover to install the same , during the second step I was getting this error "error while starting the hardlock service - contact software manufacturer "(sentinel runtime environment installer V.760)

I am assuming that the error is due to the software redriecting the webbrowser to safari and there by getting its a mac environment ".
please help to solve the same .

If that error is due to that problem - you could try adding a user-agent spoofer to your browser, and set it to a Windows browser (Edge or Internet Explorer) before trying to activate. I know that Chrome has extensions that allow you to do this; I'm not sure if Safari has one too.
