I'm trying out Crossover to see if it can help run Windows apps on my new M1 Mac. I rely on VideoRedo for frame-accurate cut editing, with light-touch re-encoding so that only the cuts are re-encoded, and there's no Mac app which does this satisfactorily. I've managed to install the app and it opens fine, but can't open any videos. It needs VMR9 to run acceptably (i.e. to open videos in a video overlay) and I presume it is failing because it doesn't have access to that.
I've fiddled with the graphics options in my bottle and tried running in a fixed-size window, but nothing seems to help.
Hmm. Have you tried using a different program? Each one has its advantages and disadvantages and it's crucial to know which ones work for you. If you are a beginner, you can try something like https://www.movavi.com/ and if you know what you are doing, Premiere Pro or Sony Vegas is the way to do it. You have no idea how many things are possible if you know what to do. That's the best way of giving the opportunity of showing something different. You should create something that is your signature, so everyone can recognize your work
