CrossOver 12 and Xtranormal Desktop

Was able to install Xtranormal Desktop in my Windows XP bottle configured using CrossOver 12. However, I encounter the following error message when I try to launch the app:

The program Launcher.exe has encountered a serious problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience. This can be caused by a problem in the program or a deficiency in Wine.

Below are the minimum specs required to run the app:

Xtranormal Desktop for Windows
http://www.xtranormal.com/about-desktop/
Minimum configuration
Windows XP Service Pack 2, 2GB of RAM, 128MB 3D video card with DirectX 9 and Vertex Shader 1.0 support, 1.8 GHz Single Core Processor.

Is this a memory or graphics limitation with CrossOver?

Here is what Xtranormal Support said about running their software under a Wine-based tool like CrossOver:

Hi, thanks for contacting us.

Unfortunately we did not manage to make XD work on Wine Linux Version (haven't tried with crossover and Macs) The biggest dependencies causing trouble is Microsoft .Net Framework which MS does not seem to like to share, and also Direct X.

Also XD runs two executables, launcher.exe and state.exe which may be problematic to set up in wine. Maybe Crossover has more capabilities,

The best way to use XD on a Mac would be to use Bootcamp, Parallels, Vmware or Vitualbox (please make sure that 3d acceleration is enable)

Hope that helps, please let us know if you manage to make XD works with Crossover.

Regards,
Support

I have Xtranormal Desktop installed in an XP bottle. I tried modifying the Application settings for Launcher.exe and state.exe in the Wine configuration menu to a non-standard option like Windows 7 or Vista, but none of those attempts changed the outcome. In the error log screen, I always see the same page write exception, excerpted below:

Unhandled exception: page fault on write access to 0xfce63760 in 32-bit code (0x7858ce49).
